Uses:

It is one of the widely used medicine in the treatment of fever.

It is a bitter general tonic and stimulant.

It reduces Vata and Kapha inside body.

It is neither hot nor cooling in nature.

It improves appetite.

It is useful in liver and spleen complaints.

It is an appetizer.

It improves digestive strength by stimulating secretion of pitta/bile.

Dose:

12 – 24 ml one or two times a day for 4 – 8 weeks, or as per physician consult.

Usually advised after food.

If needed, equal quantity of water can be added before consumption.

Side effects & precaution :

A very high dose of 50 ml or more may cause stomach irritation.

Best to avoid during pregnency.
